A community founded on connection, Burnaby Lake brings the surrounding neighbourhoods together through the Central Valley Greenway – a 24-kilometre multi-use route for both bicycles and pedestrians alike, linking Vancouver, Burnaby, and downtown New Westminster. At Burnaby Lake Regional Nature Park, this path splits into an eleven kilometre pedestrian loop, revealing its wildlife sanctuary, natural trails, a boat launch, rowing course, and pavilion. Featuring a state-of-the-art, 24-court tennis academy, Burnaby Lake Sports Complex not only welcomes competition, activity, and athletics to the community, but will soon host the upcoming Aquatic and Arena Facility, integrating new swimming pools and ice rinks with the existing Bill Copeland Sports Centre.
A New Neighbourhood The neighbourhood’s current amenities, and those on the horizon, extend far beyond the reach of our master plan – introduced to enrich, enhance, and enliven the lifestyle of its residents and visitors. With an eye on the future, Burnaby Lake is dedicated to nurturing a sustainable community. Ensuring that every aspect of living here not only meets today’s needs but also embraces tomorrow’s demands and possibilities.
Burnaby Lake looks to redefine what community means and offers, with a unique architectural approach that prioritizes the human experience over towering high-rises. This vision encompasses up to 400,000 square feet of new retail space, ensuring everyday necessities are right on your doorstep. Coupled with an expansive network of open spaces, Burnaby Lake is crafting a quality of urban living unlike ever before.
